Activities and promising memorandums of understanding with Walisongo University in Semarang, Indonesia

The delegation from the Imam Foundation for Training and Development arrived in the city of Semarang on Wednesday, September 4, 2024, to conduct a series of activities and events with the Islamic State University of Walisongo.

The delegation included the foundation’s president, Professor Muhammad Ali Belaoo, and esteemed scholars: Aulia Nugraha and Muhammad Arkan. The visit began with a meeting between the delegation and the university’s leadership, as well as the deans of the various faculties. This was followed by the move to the main auditorium, where the welcoming ceremony took place, alongside the signing of cooperation agreements between the Imam Foundation and the university’s eight faculties.

Upon completion of the signing ceremony, the academic conference commenced, focusing on the theme: "Religious Moderation and Its Impact on Community Development." Dr. Muhammad Ali Belaoo presented a paper titled: "Foundations of Religious Moderation and Methods for Achieving It," followed by a Q&A session with participants from various faculties.

After the conference concluded, the foundation delivered a public lecture on "Challenges of the Halal Industry in the West," which generated widespread engagement from the audience.

It is worth noting that Walisongo State University is one of the oldest Islamic public universities in Indonesia, offering a wide range of specializations in Islamic law and language studies.
